Thomas Heslip

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Heslip has had a 29-year career covering commercial property development, investment, management and operations in Canada, the United States, Asia and Europe. Tom was most recently with GWL Realty Advisors in Toronto and prior to that served as President and CEO of Realex Properties Corporation until Realex's sale to Dundee Real Estate Investment Trust in February 2011. He has previously held senior management positions with Fortress Canada, Goldman Sachs, CIBC Development Corp. and Cadillac Fairview Limited. For 12 years Tom was an adjunct professor at McMaster University and the University of Toronto. He holds Masters of Arts degrees in Economics and Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Guelph.

Michael Forsayeth

Chief Financial Officer

Prior to joining MI Developments, Michael Forsayeth has been the Chief Financial Officer and held senior executive financial and operating positions in several iconic public and private Canadian companies.

These companies include: most recently, Chief Financial Officer of Intrawest - an complex Canadian-based ski/real estate company with operations in Canada, the United States, Mexico and Europe; prior to Intrawest, Chief Financial Officer of Cara Operations Ltd, with $2 billion of system sales Cara was the largest operator of full service restaurants in Canada and a leader in the airline catering, foodservice distribution and travel concession industries; and prior to Cara, Laidlaw Inc, where he held several senior management positions including President of their Transit and Tour operations, President of Greyhound Canada and Chief Financial Officer of Laidlaw’s Passenger Services Group which comprised Laidlaw’s 40,000 school bus operation, public transit and tour bus businesses that had total revenue US$1.6 billion. He was also Chief Financial Officer of Derlan Industries Limited, a Canadian-based public North American manufacturing company and was Bank of Montreal’s first Senior Manager of Investor Relations. Mr Forsayeth is a Chartered Accountant and during his nine years at Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) he worked as a Senior Manager in the audit practice, in the insolvency group as well as a two-year secondment in their London, England office.

Mr. Forsayeth graduated from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree.

Jennifer Tindale

Executive Vice-President, General Counsel

Ms. Tindale was most recently Vice President, Associate General Counsel & Corporate Secretary at Biovail Corporation, Canada’s largest publicly-traded pharmaceutical company (TSX/NYSE: BVF). In this role, Ms. Tindale managed the Company’s legal matters and was a member of the Executive Management Team. Over her four years at Biovail, Ms. Tindale provided leadership on numerous corporate acquisitions, licensing transactions, two proxy contests and a merger transaction.

Prior to joining Biovail in 2006, Ms. Tindale was a partner at Blake, Cassels&Graydon LLP, practicing corporate securities law in the Toronto office.

Ms. Tindale holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Ontario.

Lorne Kumer

Vice-President, Real Estate

Lorne Kumer has served as our Vice-President, Real Estate since August 2001 and is currently involved in acquisitions to and leasing of our income producing properties portfolio, property sales activities and in  the  significant land development portfolio in the United States and Canada. Prior to joining MID, Mr. Kumer held senior positions with Peregrine Hunter Properties Ltd., C. Hunter Real Estate Corporation and the Canadian Equity and Development Corporation, and has been involved in the development, construction, management and sale of real estate since 1990. Mr. Kumer is also the Vice President of Magnaville Louisiana USA Inc., a not for profit corporation helping victims of Hurricane Katrina. He holds an Honors Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at The University of Western Ontario.

Geoff Barratt

Vice President, Capital Markets and Strategic Initiatives

Mr. Barratt is currently MI Developments (MID), Inc's Vice President of Capital Markets and Strategic Initiatives. Prior to MID, Mr. Barratt founded and managed a successful hedge fund in New York. Mr. Barratt was previously a Vice President in the Principal Strategies Group at Morgan Stanley & Co. in New York (2004 to 2009) where he managed event-driven, public market long/short investments for the firm. Mr. Barratt began his career with CIBC World Markets Corp (1996 to 2003) in investment banking where he worked on various successful financings and mergers and acquisitions. While at CIBCWM, Mr. Barratt worked in the Toronto, Hong Kong and New York offices.

Mr. Barratt holds an MBA form the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated Magna Cum Luade from The Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. Mr. Barratt also holds a CA designation in Canada.

Stefan Wierzbinski

Vice President, Finance

Mr. Stefan Wierzbinski is currently the Vice President, Finance for MID. Mr. Wierzbinski has served as Managing Director for more than 20 legal entities in Europe since 2005. Mr. Wierzbinski is responsible for acquisition, development, leasing and management of MIDs industrial real estate portfolio in Europe. He joined MID in 2001 when MID was a subsidiary Magna International, the most diversified global auto supplier. From 1997 to 2001, Mr. Wierzbinski worked with Arthur Andersen in Vienna, Austria as tax consultant and auditor, including several sectors such as building construction and real estate (companies and trusts). Mr. Wierzbinski holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Business Administration in Vienna, Austria.

Wolfgang Sorger

Director Construction Europe

Wolfgang Sorger joined MID in 2001 and has served as our Director Construction Europe since 2005. Mr. Sorger serves as Managing Director for more than 20 legal entities in Europe and is responsible for construction, acquisition, development, leasing and management of MIDs industrial real estate portfolio in Europe. Prior to joining MID, Mr. Sorger served as Architect and Manager for Magna International and prior to that he has been involved in the development and construction of real estate since 1990. Mr. Sorger holds a graduate engineer degree in Architecture from the University of Technology in Graz, Austria and graduated before from the Technical College for constructional engineering in Graz.
